About the role

HVAC-R: Air conditioning/Refrigeration Technician role with Bazlec West Electrical & Air, a family-run business specialising in electrical, air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance, fault finding, installations and project-based jobs across commercial, residential and remote networks.

Key responsibilities

  • Air conditioning fault finding & parts replacements across residential, commercial and remote sites
  • Replacement & new installation of air conditioning units (split systems, RACs, VRVs and cassettes)
  • Cool room & refrigeration fault finding, repairs and upgrades
  • Asset management for commercial clients
  • Split system & cassette air conditioner servicing
  • Out-of-town work when required

About you

What you'll bring

  • Demonstrated experience in residential & commercial air conditioning/refrigeration installation, fault finding & maintenance
  • ARCtick licence
  • Manual driver's licence
  • White card & ability to get a national police clearance
  • Low voltage rescue & CPR training (we'll pay for it if you haven't already got it)
  • Tech savvy, and able to follow all WH&S policies & procedures
  • Able to travel out of town when necessary for 1–2 night periods
  • Good customer service skills with the confidence to liaise with clients
  • A positive, energetic & fun attitude
  • Willing to relocate to Broome if not already living here

How much remote travel is involved?

Out-of-town work comes up when required – remote communities, roadhouses and work camps – usually for 1–2 night periods.

What if I don't have every ticket?

We'll pay for low voltage rescue and CPR if you don't have them yet, and cover training and travel to Perth to upskill.

Do you take on apprentices?
